The "Sanmarga Gurukulam" was founded on May 20, 1951, by Thavamiku Kulapati Kuppusamy in Keeranur, starting with two orphan children. Inaugurated by Mrs. Krishnammal Jaganathan, it grew to 20 children by 1953 but faced caste-related challenges. Mr. C.A.V. Abdul Wahab Rowther supported the children and donated land for the Gurukulam. With help from many philanthropists, it expanded. Today, it has a middle school with 300+ beneficiaries, a home for 25 destitute grandparents, and a children's home for 125 beneficiaries.

Sponsoring education can be done with an amount of Rs. 10,000/- per annum for 1st to 5th standard and Rs.15,000/- for 6th to 12th standard.
